Does anyone else find that 24.04 chrome-based browsers (I tried snap, deb, and flatpak versions) are slow to open pages? Really slow. I wonder if it's just my set up. The app opens fast, but then comes opening pages, That is a real downer. I have removed all my chrome extensions, even cut off hardware acceleration, to no avail. This problem started for me in 23.10 and continues now. No other distros (debs, rpms, arches, solus, etc) have this issue for me. I realize this can be a hardware issue, I realize, but it is this way on my wife's Dell and my new custom made AMD desktop. I'm puzzled. Ideas or thoughts?
In the Settings app, is Network > Proxy turned off? Ideally it is off.
